Introduction

An RSS file is an XML document.  To begin creating an RSS file, a text editor must be identified.  As the name suggests a text editor is an application with the sole purpose of editing test.  Unlike the word processor, a text editor does not make use of many of the formatting options available.  This lesson will introduce the basic usage of a text editor including saving files in the appropriate format.
